Casual Service Workers

Food Services is looking for casual Service Workers for roles within our Food Services teams! We have several locations and franchises such as Tim Hortons (all positions available), Starbucks, Pita Pit, Panago Pizza as well as in house branding. These individuals need to be flexible to work early mornings, evenings or some weekends. They also need to be able to work as part of a team, work with detailed tasks, adhere to guidelines and policies, organize your time and assigned activities, balance several tasks simultaneously, and can meet deadlines, then this position may be of interest to you. Responsibilities: Be able to follow franchise specs and procedures in prepping or baking for these areas Organize opening activities for the assigned outlets Maintain control of the areas and supplies Provide customer service in assigned venues Duties may change to meet business needs Qualifications: Grade 10 Considerable knowledge and experience in a Food Services/Baking operation where exemplary customer service was the focus. Food Safety and Sanitation certification and Customer Services training certificate an asset. Remuneration: $14.29- $18.98 per hour (salary will be biweekly)  

Banquet and Catering Service Workers

NAIT Catering provides catering needs for meetings, concessions, buffet and reception functions to formal banquets.  Individuals in this position will be responsible for providing front of the house catering services. If you are an energetic hospitality professional and have the ability to work independently as well as part of a team, and can manage challenges in a professional manner, this position may be of interest to you. Responsibilities: Provide professional customer service, be responsible for the set-up, delivery, service, and take-down of catering services and banquets in a timely manner. Respond to questions and feedback from customers providing service to meet and exceed expectations in all areas. Uphold service standards and attention to detail for all events from business meetings to banquets while working at a fast pace. Demonstrate flexibility in assigned tasks Follow departmental policies and procedures. Communicate with team members and customers in a positive, professional and concise manner. Qualifications: Must have a minimum of 2 years hospitality experience (catering experience an asset). Must work accurately and precisely with detailed tasks and adhere to rules, guidelines, and performance standards.  Hours of work will include some evenings and weekends. Successful candidates must have experience driving in Edmonton and area and hold a valid class 5 Alberta drivers license.  Remuneration:   $14.01- $18.24 per hour (salary will be biweekly)

NAIT’s Geomatics Engineering Technology Program is seeking a full-time regular Instructor. Candidates for this position must be energetic student leaders, have sound communication skills in both written and oral English, and be committed to seeking feedback from students on instructional effectiveness and relevance. Applicants must have a strong orientation to student success and satisfaction, be able to conduct student evaluations, maintain progress reports, be dedicated to a service model, and be empathetic to student needs. Responsibilities: Responsibilities include preparing and presenting classes in both classroom and lab settings, organizing and supervising assignments, participating in course and program review, curriculum development, and maintaining contact with relevant industries. Qualifications: The ideal candidate will possess an undergraduate degree in Geomatics or Survey Engineering with extensive experience in the Geomatics Engineering field. Preference will be given to applicants with a background in the areas of digital mapping and GIS technologies. Individuals possessing a commission as a Land Surveyor or a diploma in Geomatics Engineering Technology will also be considered. Research Coordinator

The coordinator will work with the principal investigator (Dr. Shanthi Johnson) and the project advisory group composed of members from Regina Qu'Appelle Health Region (RQHR) and Saskatchewan Ministry of Health. The project focuses on improving functional capacity and reducing falls among older adults living in rural and urban areas by delivering a home-based exercise intervention through the home care network in partnership with RQHR. The coordinator will be responsible for the overall project management and other related activities including participant screening/recruitment and consent process, set-up and facilitate a 6-member Falls Prevention--Advisory Group (FP-AG) meetings, coordinate training sessions, assist with communication/ promotion/ dissemination activities (newsletters, reports, presentations and others), liaise with participants, and assist with data collection, as necessary. The coordinator will also work with other project staff and students involved in this research project. Hold a Bachelors or Masters degree in a health field with experience in community-based health research Experience working with older adults in rural and urban areas Knowledge of home care/continuing care network in Saskatchewan Experience with client assessment including MDS Strong interpersonal skills Strong computer skills Experience with recruitment of participants & data collection within the area of senior's health Project management experience Past experience with communication/promotion/dissemination of research Valid driver license and access to a motor vehicle for work purposes
